While on call as a radiology resident, I pray for peace and quiet during the long nights. In the rare occasion that I'm not reading the numerous necessary and unnecessary radiology studies out of the emergency department, or answering the questions of insomniac interns who have nothing better to do at 3 am, then I pass the time listening to internet radio.
The two that I prefer are Pandora.com and Slacker.com. It's quick to register, and you can listen for free. During my angio rotations, before patients are put under conscious sedation, we offer them the chance to pick out the type of music they would like to listen to during their procedure. The two services are customizable and easy to use. Give it a try!
